Grigg, Burnt Quarter, Va., writes to Donnan in Petersburg, Va., concerning the slave Caty, from her deceased son's estate. She asks Donnan to have Caty and her children appraised and she will buy them herself at $200 a piece per year until all are purchased. A postscript involves a dispute between her and [her daughter-in-law?] over the boarding of [her grandchildren?]
